-- The Universal Music Publishing Group has acquired the publishing assets of Emack Music, the publishing arm of Christian label Gotee Records. The catalog includes songs by Relient K, Luna Halo, Grits, Jennifer Knapp, Ayeisha, House of Heroes, and B. Reith. The Emack catalog will be overseen by Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing, which UMPG owns through its acquisition of BMG Publishing.

Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing oversees over 70,000 copyrights, according to the Emack acquisition announcement. UMPG's assets in the contemporary Christian/gospel market also include the Lorenz Creative Services catalogues, Reunion Music, the Sparrow catalogs and RBI Entertainment.

-- Warner/Chappell Music has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with John Paul Jones and Joshua Homme to administer their interests in the compositions they create as part of Them Crooked Vulture, which the former Led Zeppelin bassist and Queens of the Stone Age frontman formed with the Foo Fighters Dave Grohl. The deal includes songs on the band's debut album and future compositions with the group as well. Warner/Chappell Music administers the Led Zeppelin catalog as well as Grohl's interests in the first four records of the Foo Fighters as well as Grohl-era Nirvana material.
