Music supervisor Allison Wright Clark, composer Marc Caruso, branding consultant Sean Harrison and Mario Davis have formed a music publishing and licensing company, Angry Mob Music.
Based in Santa Monica, Calif., Angry Mob will connect musicians with brands, as well as work with music supervisors for film and television placement of the artist's songs.
"Our motivation for forming Angry Mob came from a need to showcase talented songwriters and performers who may have been overlooked by major music publishing houses, and using new, modern-day methods that haven't quite been effectively tapped before," says Caruso, who heads up licensing and administration.
Wright Clark, music supervisor for many film and television projects ("Welcome to the Rileys," "The Good Wife"), will be head of Artist & Repertoire. Davis, who has worked in independent radio promotion, artist development, management, marketing and branding, will direct A&R.
Harrison, an independent entertainment branding consultant, will create music-related promotions for recording artists with national and international brands.
The Angry Mob roster of about 10 artists includes band leader and film orchestrator Ladd McIntosh and singer-songwriter John Pringle.
