EMI Music Publishing has renewed its long-term worldwide administration agreement with Pink, who has sold over 40 million albums and 70 million singles globally and won three Grammy Awards, according to the company. The re-up, brokered by EMI Music Publishing President of North American Creative Jon Platt, will cover all of her future songwriting work as well as the catalog. In a statement, Pink noted "I'm happy to have re-signed with EMI because they've been with me since the beginning and I look forward to the future with them." That future, of course, is likely to involve EMI merging with Sony/ATV in a deal that is still awaiting regulatory approval …

Universal Music Publishing Group has signed Danger Mouse (a.k.a. Brian Burton) to an exclusive publishing agreement for the world, excluding the U.S. and Canada. The deal covers all of Danger Mouse's material written since 2010, as well as compositions moving forward. His recent and current projects include significant production and songwriting shares on the Black Keys album El Camino; the forthcoming Norah Jones album Little Broken Hearts, out May 1; and he is currently producing the next U2 album, according to the company. Burton's past successes include his work as one-half of the groups Gnarls Barkley (with Cee-Lo Green) and Broken Bells (with the Shins' James Mercer). …

In another move, UMPG signed writer/producer Mike Elizondo, who is also senior VP of A&R and staff producer at Warner Bros. Records, to an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement. A longtime associate of Dr. Dre, Elizondo has worked and/or written with 50 Cent, Eminem, Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige, Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple, Carrie Underwood and others. Currently, he is collaborating with Keith Urban, Maroon 5, Casey Abrams, Haley Reinhart, and Marissa Jack. He is in the studio starting productions for Gary Clark Jr. and Tegan & Sara. And he recently completed work on Spektor's upcoming LP. ...

The Harry Fox Agency, Inc. (HFA) has entered into a licensing and administration services agreements with Google to support promotional features for Google Play. HFA said its relationship with 46,000 music publishers and its technology and comprehensive rights database allows it to provide its services to Google. "We strive to support the growing digital eco-system as it evolves to meet consumer content demands with our rights management services so that companies can focus on their music initiatives," HFA VP of strategy and business development Lauren Apolito said in a statement. …

The SESAC Pop Music Awards, which will honor the PRO's top songwriters and publishers in an invitation-only gala, will be held May 10 at Skylight Soho in New York. During that night, special awards will be presented to the songwriter of the year, as well as a similar award for song and publisher. Last year at the event, the organization celebrated the 100th birthday of music pioneer Robert Johnson with a special tribute.
