Bicycle Music Partners With Rolf Budde
The Bicycle Music Company and its affiliates have partnered with Rolf Budde Muskverlag GmbH to acquire a catalog of songs that includes "The Letter," Always On My Mind," and "Pata Pata."

The 3,000-song catalog, was previously owned by Rolf Budde's brother Andy-who died in 2007-- under the name Budde Songs and Budde Music USA. With the completion of the deal that catalog will now be administered in the GSA countries and France by Budde Muskverlag, while Bicycle Music will handle the U.S. and all other territories.

In making the announcement, Budde Muskverlag also announced that it will relaunch Budde Music U.S. with Rolf's son Benjamin, who will oversee the "company as a creative hotbed with an active role of representing our writers and copyrights," the elder Budde said in a statement.

As for the acquired catalog, Bicyle Music co-president Steve Salm said in a statement, "This catalog is a gem and we look forward to working with the Budde's to find new opportunities for these songs around the world."

BMG Chrysalis Signs Co-Pub Deal With Pennywise
BMG Chrysalis has signed an exclusive co-publishing deal with Los-Angeles punk band Pennywise. The band is currently touring to support its 10th studio album, "All Or Nothing," released in May.

"Pennywise is the most significant hardcore band to emerge from SoCal punk's second wave," said BMG Chrysalis North America executive VP of client services David Hirshland. "Over 20 years after their debut, they are still going strong and have an extremely devoted and international fanbase."

HFA Renews Licensing Agreement With LyricFind
The Harry Fox Agency has renewed its lyric licensing agreement for LyricFind, which ensures that songs in the latter's database are properly licensed and provide accurate compensation to songwriters and publishers. Acccording to the press release, more than 46,000 of HFA's affiliated publishers have the opportunity to make their songs available in LyricFind's song database as well as for its web and mobile service platforms.

LyricFind, launched in 2004, provides licensed lyrics to various digital service providers and has developed successful mobile applications for the iPhone, iPad, Android, and Blackberry Playbook.

Imagem's Stumpf Elected to Recording Academy's NY Board of Directors
Imagem Music USA president Richard Stumpf has been elected to the board of governors for the Recording Academy's New York Chapter. Stumpf also sits on the boards of the National Music Publishers' Assn.; the American Assn. of Independent Music; and the Assn. of Independent Music Publishers.
