STIM, the Stockholm, Sweden-based collecting society for music creators and publishers, has appointed Alfons Karabuda as acting CEO. He will replace former acting CEO Helena Woodcock, who has chosen to reassume her position as STIM general counsel.
In my new role of acting CEO, I look forward to keep promoting the interests of rightsholders," said Karabuda in a statement." During a time of intense business development, STIM is in need of Helena Woodcock’s judicial competence as General Counsel. This is why the change has been made."
Karabuda was formerly the chairman of SKAP, the Swedish Society of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors. While acting as STIM CEO, he will step down from his role on the STIM board of directors.
