Ash Avildsen, Matt Anderson Join The Agency Group

Ash Avildsen

Ash Avildsen is joining the Agency Group’s Los Angeles office as Agent and A&R Liaison. Avildsen is the Founder/CEO of Sumerian Records and was the Founder/CEO of The Pantheon Agency. For the past eight years, Avildsen helped discover and developed acts like Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides, Animals As Leaders and others. 

Matt Anderson

Matt Andersen is also joining the The Agency Group's Los Angeles office. He brings a roster of more than 25 acts that includes Motionless In White, Attila, For Today, The Word Alive and Chelsea Grin. Andersen began his career at The Kirby Organization (TKO) in 2008. He left TKO to join The Pantheon Agency when it was formed in 2010 where he rose to the role of vice president.

Fintage House Appoints Andrew Gummer as President of Music Division

Independent global music, film and TV rights company Fintage House has appointed Andrew Gummer President of its Music Division. Gummer will be based out of the London office where Rights Agency Ltd is located and will report directly to Niels Teves, Co-CEO of Fintage House. Gummer brings with him over 25 years of experience in the music business having worked at various companies including Virgin Records, Warner/Chappell, Mushroom Records and Imagem Group/Boosey & Hawkes.

Scott Cresto Joins Reservoir as Executive Vice President of Synchronization and Marketing

Reservoir announced the addition of Scott Cresto to its creative team. Scott will serve as Reservoir's Executive Vice President of Synchronization and Marketing, reporting to company President Golnar Khosrowshahi and COO Rell Lafargue. Scott's duties will see him implement over 20 years of publishing and licensing experience in growing Reservoir's already flourishing sync licensing revenue. He will work out of the company's New York office, with frequent working visits to Los Angeles.

Cresto joins Reservoir following executive positions at Warner/Chappell Music and, more recently, Chrysalis Music Group, where he oversaw synch licensing opportunities across platforms in TV, film, commercials, video games, film trailers, soundtracks and special market projects as the company's Senior Vice President, Film & Television and A&R. During Scott's tenure at Chrysalis, the company's sync licensing revenue grew by 200 percent, while his A&R work saw the discovery and signings of the popular acts Beach House, TV on the Radio, JBM, Correatown, Richard Walters, Psapp, and songwriter Andy Stochnasky (Goo Goo Dolls, Josh Groban, Shannon Noll). 

ASCAP Promotes Jonathan Jones to Director of Creative Services, Rhythm & Soul/Urban, Jon Bahr to Senior Director, Marketing & Communications

ASCAP has announced the promotion of Jonathan “JJ” Jones to Director of Creative Services, Rhythm & Soul/Urban. Jones will continue to be responsible for discovering and signing songwriters and producers, developing talent, establishing and maintaining relationships with current members and programming events, showcases and educational panels. Jones formerly worked for the Aphilliates Music Group in Atlanta, GA. and Sony Music-Epic Records. At ASCAP, Jones most recently held the title of Associate Director of Creative Services, Rhythm & Soul/Urban. He reports directly to Nicole George-Middleton.

Jon Bahr

The performance rights organization has also promoted Jon Bahr to Senior Director, Marketing & Communications. Based in ASCAP's New York office, Bahr joined ASCAP in 2003 and previously held the title of Director, Marketing. In his new role, Bahr will continue as a key producer of the ASCAP "I Create Music" EXPO – which he helped launch over nine years ago – and has taken on increased oversight of the event's programming and marketing.

Republic Records Announces Ron Cerrito as SVP of Alternative and Rock Promotion

Ron Cerrito has been hired as Senior Vice President, Rock Formats at Republic Records. With over two decades of experience at the executive level, Cerrito will oversee promotions at the rock and alternative radio formats for a bevy of artists across the company's expansive roster. Working with acts ranging from Lorde, Phantogram, Of Monsters and Men and St. Vicent to Pearl Jam, James Blake, Volbeat and more, he'll construct and implement campaigns for expanding profile of the company's icons and raising awareness of new talent on the airwaves. Cerrito comes to Republic after two years as Head of Prospect Park Recordings from April 2012 - January 2014. 

CMT's Lisa Chader Joins NPG PR As Executive VP, Strategy And Development

Effective immediately, Chader is charged with managerial oversight of the company and new business development. 

Rough Trade Records Appoints Anna Bond US Label Manager

Bond comes to the label from SC Distribution where she was Head of Sales. Prior to that she was with the Label Relations department at eMusic and the US Label Manager for the UK independent label FatCat. She brings over 10 years of independent music experience to the label.

Ranj Bath Appointed VP of Corporate Strategy and Business Development of Beats by Dre

Bath joins Beats by Dre from Intel Corporation, where he spearheaded strategic partnerships and marketing for seven years. Before that, he co-founded Desi Hits, a multi-platform media venture backed by strategic investors like Jimmy Iovine. While serving as vice president of corporate strategy and business developent at Beats by Dre, he will continue to advise a variety of social broadcasting, music gaming, and crowdsourcing companies.

Warner/Chappell Music Names Travis Carter as A&R Manager

Former touring musician Travis Carter has been apopinted A&R manager of Warner/Chappell Music (WCM),

the global publishing arm of Warner Music Group, where he will provide A&R and creative support for the company's roster and catalog. He previously held positions at publishing comnpanies Love Monkey Music and Tom-Leis Music/AAM, as well as A&R consulting for Sony Music.
