Violent Soho is out front with chances in four categories. The Brisbane alternative rock outfit is up for best independent artist and their third studio album Hungry Ghost (I Oh You) is in the running for best independent album and best independent hard rock, heavy or punk album. They've also scored a nomination for best independent single or EP. Sia, Chet Faker and RÜFÜS are close behind, each with a hattrick of award nominations. Sia is a chance for best independent artist and best independent album for her sixth studio release, 1000 Forms Of Fear (Monkey Puzzle/Inertia), which topped the ARIA Albums Chart and the Billboard 200 earlier this year. The Adelaide-born artist gets a nod for best independent single or EP for her global smash "Chandelier."
