“That show has grown just like it’s supposed to,” he says. “If there’s a specific festival model that we all say we’re going to follow -- which is invest and lose money in year one, break even in year two, and start to grow in year three -- that one has followed perfectly.”

Jones, who appeared on a panel at the Billboard Touring Conference with Bonnaroo’s Ashley Capps and Firefly’s Greg Bostrom, also spoke of the success of this year’s Lolla in Chicago, as well as the 2013 Austin City Limits Music Festival.
