On the heels of scoring a breakthrough credit on Eminem’s latest album, Australian hip hop artist, songwriter and producer M-Phazes has signed an exclusive global deal with Universal Music Publishing Group Australia.

M-Phazes is the co-writer and co-producer (with S1) of “Bad Guy,” the album opener on Eminem’s new set “The Marshall Mathers LP2.”

As part of UMPG’s strategy to engage M-Phazes on international projects, it’s expected he’ll split his time between his studio in Melbourne, the U.S. and the U.K.

With more than 300-released songs to his name and collabs with the likes of Talib Kweli, Redman, Kimbra, 360, Bliss N Eso, M-Phazes scored an ARIA Award for best urban album for his 2010 debut “Good Gracious” (Obese). A new album is slated for release in 2014.
