A couple of members -- Carole King and John Fogerty -- some veteran Seattle rockers, a legendary comedy duo and Usher are among the latest performers and presenters announced for this year's 28th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, taking place April 18 in Los Angeles. Chris Cornell and Cheech & Chong have also joined the list of presenters.

King will perform in honor of her onetime producer and manager, Ahmet Ertegun Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Lou Adler, who will be inducted by Cheech & Chong. Usher will sing for Quincy Jones, the other Ertegun award recipient, while Fogerty will join Jackson Browne to perform with Randy Newman. Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell will induct Heart, who will be joined in their performance by Pearl Jam's Mike McCready and Alice In Chains' Jerry Cantrell. Spike Lee and Harry Belafonte, meanwhile, will do the induction honors for Public Enemy. The rap group will also perform, along with Rush, Heart and Newman.

More performers and inductors are expected to be announced soon.

Public tickets for the ceremony at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live are sold out; some tables and special benefit level tickets are still available through LPA & Associates at lpaevents.com. The Rock Hall has also announced Harman's JBL as the presenting sponsor of the ceremony and the Brennan Rock and Roll Academy, which provides music education for Boys & Girls Club youths, as another event sponsor.

The ceremony will be filmed by HBO for a premiere broadcast at 9 p.m. on May 17.
