Mike Saunter has been named chief financial officer at Warner Music International, with immediate effect.

Saunter replaces outgoing WMI CFO Jos de Raaij, who will exit the music major at the end of the year.

Reporting to Gero Caccia, vice chairman and COO of WMI, Saunter is tasked with financial planning, budgeting and reporting across Warner Music's international activities.

"It's a very exciting time for WMI as we continue to transform our business by leveraging digital technologies and devising new business models," comments Caccia in a statement. "Mike's in-depth industry knowledge, his strategic ability and his accessible approach will enable him to become a valuable member of the WMI senior management team."

Prior to joining Warner Music, Saunter served with EMI Group Plc for eight years, most recently as VP corporate development.

Simultaneously, Matt Norman has been upped from head of finance to finance director at Warner Music U.K.
