With three trophies, French rapper Diam's was the big winner at the annual NRJ Awards, held Saturday (Jan. 20) at Cannes' Palais des Festivals on the eve of Midem.

The EMI-signed artist was on hand to receive gongs for female artist of the year, album of the year with "Dans Ma Bulle," and song of the year for "La Boulette."

Also on the night, M Pokora took out the male artist of the year category and video of the year for "De Retour". Christina Aguilera, who performed at the ceremony, won for female artist of the year and international album of the year for "Back To Basics" (RCA).

Justin Timberlake was named male artist of the year, Evanescence claimed group of the year, and Bob Sinclar was honored as DJ of the year.
