Edel music has promoted Max Vaccaro, marketing manager at the company's Milan-based Italian operation, to head of international A&R for the entire group.

Vaccaro will work in both Milan and Hamburg and will report to both edel CEO Michael Haentjes, and to Edel Italy president Paolo Franchini.

In addition to A&R, Vaccaro's duties will include international marketing. He will also cover the role of head of international, replacing Susanne Schulz, who is due to begin maternity leave later this year.

Vaccaro's duties as marketing manager for Edel Italy will be taken over by his Milan-based colleague Govind Khurana, who is currently promotion manager.

In a statement, Haentjes says: "In Italy Max has shown great talent, both in musical and marketing terms, and I am delighted that he will now be able to use these abilities on an international scale."

Franchini adds, "It's very satisfying to see Edel Italy making such an international contribution to the group. Max has built up excellent relations with a number of important international acts and labels over the years, while at the same time I am confident that Govind will help Edel grow in Italy."
