London-based independent Sanctuary Records Group has finalized a deal to use MPP's iShop to sell physical and digital music download products.

Sanctuary, whose artists include Morrissey and The Charlatans, will be piloting the scheme with sales of artists on Trojan, the legendary reggae and ska label.

Established in March 2000, MPP Global Solutions claims to be the first company to launch an integrated shopping basket solution, which enables customers to purchase physical, digital, subscriptions and mobile products from a common shopping basket. The Sanctuary iShop will be designed to Sanctuary's look and feel.

"MPP demonstrated to us the power of its iShop product and providing consumers with the ability to purchase either digital or physical products from one environment was something we have been longing to achieve for some time," comments Giles Green, Sanctuary's executive vice president of marketing, sales and digital, in a statement.

He says Trojan was a "natural first site" for iShop, "which we plan to roll out across other Sanctuary brands in due course."

Future plans for the Sanctuary iShop are expected to include sale of physical merchandise such as CDs and t-shirts.
