Universal Music U.K. has struck an agreement to supply video-on-demand clips for use on BT Vision, the next-generation TV service run by the British telecommunications network. Tracks will also be offered on Windows-compatible listening devices via the BT Vision download store.

All available Universal Music U.K. music promos and a selection of long-form videos, including concerts, will be covered by the deal.

"Universal has always been at the forefront of the digital revolution and this deal with BT proves once again that we strive to allow access to our music through any legitimate digital service," comments Rob Wells, senior VP, digital, Universal Music Group International, in a statement.

Pricing for content on the BT Vision will range from £0.29 ($0.56) for individual music videos to £2.99 ($5.84) for premium concerts. Pricing for downloads from the BT Download Store will be confirmed shortly.

The agreement follows a similar pact in Dec. 2006 between BT and EMI Music U.K. BT Vision also has content deals in place with Disney, Dreamworks, Eagle Rock, Warner Music Group, Universal, Sony BMG and Viacom.
