The Chinese mobile music market it heating up big time, thanks to partnerships forged by Global Music International and The Orchard with regional wireless companies.

Global Music International, a video and ringtone aggregator, has struck a deal with wireless operator China Unicom, the third largest carrier in the world with 141 million subscribers, for its entire catalog of both Chinese and Western music.

Meanwhile Huawei, a company that makes the network equipment used by 28 of the world's top 50 wireless operators, has teamed with indie music digital aggregator and distributor The Orchard for its new Active Music offering. The deal will add an integrated digital music service to any carrier using Huawei's infrastructure.
