Canadian singer/instrumentalist Loreena McKennitt will begin a North
American tour April 15 in Toronto, her first since 1998. It follows a
previously announced 21-date European tour that begins March 11 in
Stuttgart, Germany, and finishes April 6 in Antwerp, Belgium.

The roadwork comes in support of McKennitt's Verve/Quinlan Road debut, "An
Ancient Muse," which has sold more than 500,000 units worldwide since its
late November release.

Meanwhile, PBS in the United States will air "Loreena McKennitt: Nights From
The Alhambra" on its "Great Performances" series during March. The program
was filmed over two nights in September 2006 at the Alhambra, the historic
monument and Unesco World Heritage site in Granada, Spain.
