Double Brit Award-winners The Killers, crowd-favorites the Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol, the band behind last year's biggest-selling album title in Britain, are among the heavyweight performers booked for this year's V Festival.

The 12th annual event is to be held Aug. 18 and 19 at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Stafford, England.

Organizers today unveiled more than 20 top performers for the outdoor concerts, including Kasabian, Pink, Basement Jaxx, Amy Winehouse, The Fratellis and KT Tunstall.

In a statement, V Festival director Bob Angus explains that the line-up is continuing to take shape. "In addition to these and the other great acts announced today," he says, "we're building the momentum and are confident that it won't be long before some more great names are announced. Watch this space."

Virgin Mobile users can buy tickets from 9am GMT on Feb. 27, some 48 hours before the general public. Weekend tickets, priced a maximum of £130 ($255) each, can also be bought online at www.seetickets.com/vmobile.
