MTV Networks International (MTVNI) has promoted ad sales executive Lars Mossing to GM, MTV Networks Nordic, with effect from May 5.

Among his duties, Mossing will be responsible for increasing the broadcaster's digital media presence across the Scandinavian territories, and he will spearhead Nickelodeon's expansion in the region.

Based in Stockholm, Mossing will report to Dan Ligtvoet, executive VP, managing director, MTV Networks Benelux and MTV Networks Nordic.

Until now, Mossing has served as MTV Networks Nordic's director of ad sales. Prior to joining the Nordic company in 2005, Mossing was sales manager at TV3 in Denmark, and he has had previous stints with Clear Channel, Egmont and MTG.

Mossing replaces Clare Melford, who exits as GM of MTVN Nordic next month to "pursue new career opportunities," MTV said in a statement.
