The Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame's (CSHF) first executive director and gala co-executive producer, Jody Scotchmer, will leave the organization May 15 following four years in the position. In a statement Scotchmer said she is planning on spending time with her family. No successor has been named.

During, Scotchmer's tenure, the CSHF has developed significant partnerships with significant sponsors like TD Canada Trust, as well as with government-owned CBC Radio and CBC-TV. The two aired the annual galas that showcases Canadian songwriters and songs and featured tributes to Canadian icons Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Gilles Vigneault and others.
