George Michael has reportedly been fined £130,000 ($264,000) for allowing his curtain-raising show at London's new Wembley Stadium to overrun its allotted time.

Michael became the first musician to play at the rebuilt stadium in London on June 9.

According to reports, the former Wham! member played two extra songs, which pushed the length of the show on by an extra 13 minutes.

The stadium penalizes shows by £10,000 ($20,300) for every minute a performance runs over.

Wembley Stadium, which has since hosted concerts by Muse, and the Concert for Diana and Live Earth spectaculars, has a 90,000-capacity for sporting events, which is scaled about 67,000 for music performances.
