British concert producers, promoter and booking agent Creative Entertainment Group has recruited Warner Music veteran Peter Price to develop and head-up a new creative artist management division.

CEG executive director Paul Fitzgerald says the appointment marks another step towards the firm's ambition to build a 360-degree business model.

"Artiste Management is the next step in our company strategy. Peter has vast experience in the music industry and is a fantastic addition to out ever growing team," comments Fitzgerald in a statement.

Price will also serve in the company’s creative agency division, working alongside Fitzgerald and senior booking agent Mark Cowan.

Having started his career with Virgin Records in 1977, Price went on serve as GM of Atlantic Records U.K. in 1986, where he signed such artists as Enya and Mel and Kim. Later, he ran Warner Music Ireland as management director, before returning to the U.K. in 1995 to helm PWL, a Warner Music company at the time.

Since splitting with Warner Music in 2000, he has consulted for a range of companies, including Universal and Warner Music Vision and has managed such artists as Aled Jones, Chris Rea, Van Morrison and UB40.
