EMI U.K. and Ireland is banking on a new promotion tool for its artists.

The music major has struck what it describes as an "exclusive and first of its kind deal" with British bank NatWest that will see album artwork embellished on chip and PIN cards.

The offering is only open to 11-18-year-olds who hold NatWest Adapt accounts. For a fee of £5 ($10), participants can log-on to the account Web site, and customise their chip and PIN card with album art from various EMI artists, including Lily Allen, Athlete, the Thrills and Supergrass.

Account holders are also able to upload their own photographs to illustrate their bank card.
