An upcoming 17-date U.K. touring production featuring opera star Katherine Jenkins and ballet great Darcey Bussell has sold out, and will be extended to visit a string of U.K. arena dates in the new year.

The "Viva La Diva" show is the brainchild of former Zomba Music U.K. managing director and TCB Group founder Steven Howard, Bandana Management founder Brian Lane, and Simon Moran, managing director of live music promoter SJM Concerts, all of whom will all act as co-producers of the tour.

Songwriters Tim Rice and Gary Barlow, former Royal Ballet star Jonathan Cope, and designer Julien MacDonald are on board with the production.

Howard, whose artist management and brand consultancy TCB Group oversees the career of Bussell, says the project creates an opportunity for the ballerina to cross-over into the mainstream entertainment business. Veteran artist manager Brian Lane manages Katherine Jenkins.

In a statement, Howard comments, "we have built the foundations of a live show that we feel can go on to achieve really big things around the world."

The sold-out tour begins Nov. 25 at Manchester's Lowry, and will now be complemented with six new dates, beginning May 2 at the Odyssey in Belfast, before moving on to arenas in Cardiff, Birmingham, Sheffield, London and Manchester.
