Beggars Group has restructured its team, with the arrival of Simon Halliday to manage the British independent music powerhouse's 4AD, Beggars Banquet and Too Pure labels.

For the past five years, Halliday has run indie Warp Records' U.S. operations in New York.

In addition, Rich Walker, previously in charge of the group's PR department, will work alongside Halliday as head of communications for the labels.

Beggars division XL Recordings, meanwhile, has launched a dedicated PR department, comprising XL head of press Jon Wilkinson, with senior press officer Michael Cleary and new media and press officer Richard Onslow.

The team will handle press for the majority of the XL roster, which includes the White Stripes, Dizzee Rascal, M.I.A, Jack Peñate, Devendra Banhart, Cajun Dance Party and Vampire Weekend.

"Constant evolution is crucial these days," comments Beggars Group chairman Martin Mills, "and it's great to be re-inventing ourselves again, just at the time when our last move has been recognised as being so successful."
