Henrik Daldorph, GM of Sony BMG Denmark, has been elected chairman of IFPI Denmark during an extraordinary general meeting, held this week.

Daldorph, 44, will replace former Universal Music Denmark GM Jens-Otto Paludan, who stepped-down from the trade body post after leaving Universal at the end of November.

The trade organization also elected two new members to its board: Newly-appointed Universal Music Denmark GM Casper Bengtson and EMI Music GM Michael Wermuth. The two will replace Paludan and former Warner GM Jakob Deichmann who left IFPI earlier in the year.

Daldorph has been GM of Sony BMG since 2004, when the companies merged. Prior to that, he headed BMG Denmark from 2001 until the merger.
