The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales has signed a new sponsorship deal for its stadium tours with the Hard Rock Café.

As well as being a major sporting venue, the Millennium Stadium has hosted performances by acts including the Rolling Stones, Madonna, Bon Jovi and The Police since it opened in 1999. Bruce Springsteen is due to play in June.

"We're really happy to have made brought such an influential partner on board with the Millennium Stadium," said Gwyn Dolphin, head of marketing at the stadium's owner the Welsh Rugby Union, in a statement. "Hard Rock Cafe is a global brand and a great vehicle for us to use to broaden the reputation of the stadium as a major venue. We hope to educate those people who visit Wales about the diversity of the Millennium Stadium and encourage more of them to return to Cardiff for future events."

Hard Rock International has 124 Hard Rock Cafes in 46 countries, including a branch in Cardiff.
