Danish label Crunchy Frog has signed a distribution deal with Swedish company Playground Music for Scandinavian territories.

According to Copenhagen-based Crunchy Frog managing director Jesper Reginal, the deal includes Crunchy Frog's entire catalogue. It covers the Baltic States of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in addition to Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Previously, Crunchy Frog has handled its own distribution other than in the United States, where it goes through Rykodisc.

Crunchy Frog is home to quirky pop/dance act Junior Senior and rock trio Powersolo; the Raveonettes are also signed for Denmark only. The first release Playground will distribute is the self-titled fourth album by The Tremelo Beer Gut on January 28.

Reginal says Crunchy Frog will continue to handle its Danish promotion from the label's Copenhagen base, but will discuss promotion strategies for other territories with Playground on an album-by-album basis.

The Crunchy Frog/Playground contract is a rolling one, renewable annually.
