North American cable subscribers now have access to the Taiwan edition of Channel V, a leading Asian music and lifestyle channel.

The channel is the latest offered by KyLinTV, a content provider serving Mandarin speakers in the U.S and Canada.

"KyLinTV's goal is to bring the best Chinese programming and most choices to viewers," said KyLinTV CEO Nancy Li in a statement. Channel V will only be available to KyLinTV's premium subscribers.

KyLinTV operates on an IPTV platform, meaning that content is transferred over the internet in advance of broadcasting.

The Channel V service was launched in North America on Jan. 10.
