Eric Clapton and The Police have been unveiled as the headliners at the Hard Rock Calling weekend concerts in London's Hyde Park in June.

Clapton will play on June 28, with support from Sheryl Crow and John Mayer plus further acts yet to be confirmed. The Police, who reformed for a world tour last year, will headline on June 29 with special guests including KT Tunstall and U.K. alternative act Starsailor.

Hard Rock Calling is produced by Live Nation in partnership with the Hard Rock International restaurant chain. The event is part of Hard Rock's third annual Ambassadors of Rock Tour, a global concert series that benefits charities worldwide.

"We are very excited about this year's Hard Rock Calling event," said Live Nation's U.K. VP of promotions Toby Leighton-Pope in a statement, "as we have two amazing headline acts, following on the tradition from the past two years which saw Roger Waters and The Who and Peter Gabriel and Aerosmith perform."
