Amar K. Deb, head of Mumbai-based music TV broadcaster Channel V India, is to leave the company at the end of May.

"I plan to venture into an exciting opportunity with some partners in the Internet space, details of which will be shared at a later stage," says Deb.

Channel V India head of marketing Saurabh Kanwar will be in charge of the channel, which claims to reachs some 43 million households, until a replacement for Deb is found.

Channel V India operator Star India's VP of communications Yash Khanna says: "We wish Amar all the best in his future endeavors."
