U.K. rock act Oasis has announced an 18-date arena tour on the day it premiered comeback single "The Shock of the Lightning" on British radio.

The band will follow its North American dates with a British tour that launches with two nights at Liverpool Echo Arena on Oct. 7 and Oct. 8.

Oasis will also play two nights each at Sheffield Arena, Birmingham NIA, Wembley Arena, Bournemouth International Centre, Cardiff International Arena, Belfast Odyssey Arena, Aberdeen Exhibition Centre and Glasgow SECC, where the tour concludes on Nov. 5. It was booked through Primary Talent International and promoters for the dates are SJM Concerts, Metropolis Music, Regular Music and MCD.

Oasis' seventh studio album "Dig Out Your Soul" (Big Brother Recordings/Sony BMG) is released Oct. 6 in the U.K.

"The Shock Of The Lightning" had its nationwide radio premiere today and Noel Gallagher personally unveiled the driving, hard-edged rock track on Chris Moyles' breakfast show on national top 40 station Radio 1 today (Aug. 15.). The single is released on Sept. 29.

Oasis will also issue a limited edition box set of the album containing four heavyweight vinyl discs, two CDs, a DVD and hardback. The package includes nine bonus tracks, remixes and films recorded during studio sessions and will be available to pre-order exclusively through oasisinet.com for worldwide delivery on Oct. 6.
