MTV Networks International (MTVNI) has promoted Antonio Campo Dall'Orto to executive VP of music brands.

Campo Dall'Orto will continue in his current responsibilities as managing director of MTVN Europe South, which covers Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Greece. He will be based in Milan and report to MTVNI president Robert Bakish.

"Antonio has an unrivalled knowledge of our international music brands and I'm excited to have his leadership as we further drive creative collaboration and innovation across our worldwide operations," said Bakish in a statement.

Campo Dall'Orto will work towards creating a more integrated creative direction for MTVNI's music brands in order to strengthen its position in key international regions including Europe, Asia, the Pacific Rim, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

Under Campo Dall'Orto, MTVN Europe South has developed original programming and live music events, alongside the extension of MTVNI's brands onto various media platforms including five digital MTV channels on Sky Italia and the newly formed MTV Mobile.

He joined MTVNI in 1997 to head up the launch of MTV Italia and he has held a series of positions at the Viacom-owned company.
