U.K. independent RSK Entertainment will move its distribution from Arvato to Trilogy Logistics, effective late April.

In a statement, Newbury, Berkshire-based RSK's joint managing director Simon Carver cited "strategic" reasons that will better prepare the company for "new challenges and ever-changing opportunities of the music and wider entertainment industry."

Record and DVD sales, marketing and distribution operation RSK Entertainment represents over 50 labels in the U.K., including Linn Records, GNP Crescendo, Fat Possum and DRG. It was formed through a management buyout of Universal affiliate Koch International in 2002.

Northampton-based Trilogy is an independent logistics and distribution company that provides services to the U.K. entertainment industry, particularly the audio, DVD, video gaming and toy markets.

Carver said Trilogy is "a strong and rising force within the entertainment market, with a broad product base and diverse portfolio of retail partners, and is very much geared towards what is emerging as the new retail landscape."

"This signing is a clear statement of our intentions within the music market and will give us a strong foothold within this channel," added Trilogy managing director Matthew Allen.
