The first meeting of the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) has been re-scheduled for March 11 at London venue Heaven.

The meeting remains restricted to artists and will be hosted by the steering committee, comprising Radiohead's Ed O'Brien, Blur's Dave Rowntree, Soul II Soul's Jazzie B, Kate Nash and Billy Bragg. Master Shortie will make a video to screen at the meeting.

Key issues to be discussed include the promotion of artist rights and those of their fans. Attendees will also be asked to formally sign a membership agreement.

FAC was launched in October 2008 as a collective voice for artists to campaign for changes to the laws governing the music industry. The organization aims to expose unfair treatment of artists and ensure they retain their rights in the digital music market.

According to a spokesman, "hundreds" of artists have signed up to the Web site since its launch. From next week, the organization will be looking to convert this interest into formal membership agreements.
