The proposed merger of Live Nation and Ticketmaster will have no detrimental impact on the existing 10-year partnership agreement between Live Nation and leading European promoter/ticketing operation CTS Eventim, says the German company.

Bremen-based CTS Eventim CEO Klaus-Peter Schulenberg said in a statement today (March 6) that both companies will fully honour their commitments under the agreement they signed in December 2007. The deal gave Live Nation a licence to use CTS Eventim's ticketing software in North America and saw CTS take over ticketing for Live Nation in European markets. The confirmation "removes all speculation," commented Schulenberg. "We have never doubted the contractual fidelity of Live Nation."

At present, CTS Eventim runs ticketing for Live Nation in Sweden, Finland, Poland and the Netherlands. The Czech Republic, Hungary, United Kingdom and Norway will follow suit in the near future, according to the company.
