Canada's Transmission music conference is moving from Vancouver to Victoria, the event's organizer has disclosed.

Transmission, created by Vancouver entrepreneur Tyl van Toorn, said the event will run from Sept. 22 to 26 at Victoria's historic Crystal Gardens.

"Transmission is about discovery and relationship building, as a result we are always on the lookout for settings like Victoria," says van Toorn. "It is a perfect atmosphere for creating an intimate walking-distance experience for fans and delegates."

This year's event will dovetail with Rifflandia, a music festival that debuted last year. Over 100 artists will perform at Transmission and Rifflandia over four days. Transmission performances will take place at Victoria's Market Square, one of the city's oldest landmarks.
