PIAS Entertainment Group has launched a dedicated synchronization service, PIAS Synch & Brand, which will position its label and artist repertoire to brand and media platform partners.

The new service is a division of the Brussels-based company's British arm PIAS U.K., which is based in London and provides distribution and a range of additional services to more than 100 independent labels and rights holders. Clients include 4AD, Big Brother, Domino and XL Recordings.

Jemma Skidmore, previously synchronization manager at Kobalt Music Group, has been appointed as PIAS U.K. synch and brand manager. She will work closely with Thomas De Mot at PIAS's sister publishing company Strictly Confidential.

The new service will aim to link up its clients for opportunities with partners including games platforms, broadcasters, film studios, TV production companies, consumer brands and creative media agencies.

"We believe there's a genuine opportunity to offer our repertoire owners a market leading service for synch and brand related business across Europe," said Peter Thompson, PIAS U.K. managing director, in a statement. "PIAS's ability to offer a cohesive package that understands the needs of our synch partners whilst adding value to initiatives through elements such as mobile and digital marketing will be a distinct advantage."
