Universal Music Canada announced it has inked an extension of its distribution deal with Chicago-based Victory Records in Canada.

Universal Music Canada president Randy Lennox credited Victory founder Tony Brummel with making the deal a reality.

"The relationship with Tony and Victory Records has been fantastic and we're excited to extend our partnership," Lennox said in a statement. "Tony has great vision and we're looking forward to taking our business with his team to even greater heights."

The extension sees Universal Music Canada continuing as the sole distributor of Victory in Canada, a label whose acts include Silverstein, A Day To Remember, Aiden, OTEP, Between The Buried and Me and Emmure. Victory was formed by Brummel in 1993 and has a roster of more than 30 acts. Universal has distributed Victory since 1994.

"When you have a great partner and mutual respect time really does fly," said Brummel.
