New Zealand-born pop singer Ladyhawke joins Lightning Seeds and Danish act Alphabeat as the latest additions to the U.K.'s 2009 V Festival.

Held simultaneously in Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire over the weekend of Aug. 22 to 23, the festival also features headliners Oasis and the Killers alongside acts including Lady GaGa, Snow Patrol, Lily Allen and Fatboy Slim.

Media partner Absolute Radio will broadcast highlights on air and on its Web site.

V Festival -- now in its 14th year -- is organized by promoters SJM and Metropolis, with Virgin Media as headline sponsor. In previous years, the event has attracted names such as Radiohead, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Strokes.
