U.K. digital music service We7 has teamed up with men's fashion retailer Topman as part of a new initiative targeting students this autumn.

The initiative is based online at www.topman.com, where students can sign up for the "In Genius" student zone which offers monthly benefits, including offers from Topman partner brands - the first of which is a free music download from we7 upon registration.

"Topman's dedication to young fashion and clear music program made the partnership an obvious choice from both sides," said Mel Lewis, SVP of sales at We7, in a statement. "We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with one of the U.K.'s top young fashion retailers to create an offer that is really valuable and absolutely in tune with the Topman brand and its consumers."

Oxfordshire-based We7 offers free ad-funded streaming alongside a-la-carte downloads.
