EMI Music Canada has inked a multi-year, multi-platform deal with Montreal-based Stingray Digital to add content its Galaxie Music Video on Demand service.

Galaxie Music Videos on Demand service was launched on Rogers Digital Cable in September, and is expected to be offered by other cable services in Canada soon.

“We recognize that music fans want to be able to select and watch the music videos of their choice, on a range of platforms, including their television screens,” EMI Music Canada president Deane Cameron said. “The Galaxie Music Videos on Demand service is the perfect platform for delivery of the latest and the most requested music videos.”

Eric Boyko, president of Stingray Digital, said the popularity of the Galaxie service continues to grow, adding that the EMI library will improve the offering.

“The EMI library will further strengthen the Galaxie MVOD service with videos that span works from today’s chart toppers and legendary artists,” he said.

Galaxie Music Videos allows viewers to select their choice of music videos, or select and watch professionally programmed music video playlists.
