French on-demand streaming service Deezer has reached an agreement with McDonald's in France.

Each of the 1,161 local restaurants will be able to access a dedicated application streaming playlists customized by Deezer.

"This new original and targeted music offer brings an answer to the needs of our consumers looking for an experience beyond catering," said Nawfal Trabelsi, VP of McDonald's, in a statement.

This is the first deal of Deezer's new sound design division Soundeezer, which aims at creating targeted sound environments for brands. "Deezer brings an answer to the increasing need of brands for a real sound identity, dynamic and interactive," commented Deezer deputy director Sébastien Naji.

In January, Deezer hired Axel Dauchez as CEO. He was previously co-CEO of Moonscoop.
