EMI Music has signed a licensing deal with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) music video streaming service VidZone which is exclusively available to Sony PlayStation 3 users.

VidZone users can now access more than 1,000 free music videos from artists like Coldplay, Katy Perry, Kylie Minogue and David Guetta. Exclusive content is also part of the deal. According to a spokesperson for EMI, the British music major will partner with VidZone to create dedicated artist and TV channels featuring EMI acts, although artist details are yet to be confirmed.

VidZone already has license deals in place with Universal Music Group, Sony and various independents, including PIAS and Warp. Since its June 2009 launch, the service has streamed over 450 million videos and currently hosts approx 25,000 videos, claims Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. VidZone can be accessed in 18 international territories including Australia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom.
