-- Robert Plant has been confirmed as a headline act for the Radio 2 Electric Proms 2010. He will perform with Band of Joy and the London Oriana Choir at the Roundhouse in London on Oct. 29. It will air live on AC network Radio 2 and form part of the "A Night With Robert Plant" TV broadcast on BBC Two on Nov. 6.

Elton John will headline the Roundhouse on Oct. 28. The final headliner for Oct. 30 will be unveiled Sept. 15. It is the fifth anniversary of the Electric Proms event and there will be coverage on BBC radio, TV and online.

-- Presenters Fearne Cotton and Zane Lowe will embark on a trip around U.K. university towns as part of national top 40 station's Radio 1 Student Tour next month. Cotton's daytime shows will feature live sessions from 30 Seconds to Mars, Mark Ronson, Klaxons and Chase & Status. Zane Lowe will then join the artists to broadcast their headline performances on his evening show.

The shows, which are not promoted by the BBC, are at Northumbria University (Mark Ronson), Lincoln University Engine Shed (30 Seconds To Mars), O2 Academy Oxford (Chase & Status) and Bristol University Anson Rooms (Klaxons) between Oct. 18-21.

-- Pop act Selena Gomez has announced a one-off London show. Selena Gomez and the Scene play the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London on Oct. 20 after the U.K. release of the sophomore album "A Year Without Rain" on Oct. 4.

-- Kylie Minogue's 'Aphrodite - Les Folies Tour 2011' will call at U.K. arenas in March 2011. The established pop act will play Glasgow SECC (March 28-29), Manchester Evening News Arena (April 1-2) and London O2 Arena (April 7-8).

-- Adam Lambert has announced a series of U.K. dates in late November as part of his "Glam Nation" tour. He will perform at London's 2,000-capacity O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on Nov. 29 following shows in Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham.
