U.K. hard rock veterans Motorhead will issue its new album, "The World is Yours," with a special edition of Classic Rock magazine in the U.K.

The partnership between Motörhead Music/UDR, EMI Label Services and Future Publishing follows the first such release of Slash's eponymous album in April in the U.K. The magazine edition sold around 30,000, according to Future. A standard Slash CD release followed a month later via Roadrunner.

The Classic Rock Presents: Motorhead package includes the CD and a 132-page magazine featuring interviews with the band alongside a complete career overview. It will appear on Dec. 14 priced £14.99 ($24).

Future Publishing pioneered the release strategy as a way of selling a premium package to fans in a range of stores that would not usually stock hard rock, such as mass merchants. Future said the Motorhead package would be distributed via 4,000 stores as well as online retailers.

Following this four-week exclusive period, the album will then be released via EMI Label Services in a standard CD format.
