Danish pop diva Medina won five Danish Music Awards at the ceremony held at the Bremen venue in Copenhagen. She won for best album ("Velkommen Til Medina"), best female vocalist and best newcomer, among others.

Her album producer team the Providers also won an award.

The label A:larm of the MBO group was well represented on the night with its acts grabbing more than half the major awards, including Alphabeat which won best Danish act.

Robyn's "Body Talk Pt. 1" took the best foreign album prize at the Nov. 14 ceremony.

After postponing the DMAs last year, IFPI decided to put all genres of music into one event billed as DMA 2010. Prior to this there were separate events, though pop music was by far the biggest.
