Multi-platinum artist, social media maven and entrepreneur Don Omar, will be the featured artist at the Viva for VEVO panel at the 2013 Billboard Latin Music Conference & Awards.
Don Omar, who has been a steady presence in Billboard’s Social 50 chart since its inception, will take the stage with Doug McVehil, SVP, Music Programming, Talent & Content Operations for VEVO and Billboard’s Editorial Director, Bill Werde. They will discuss how artists can maximize their presence and revenue via the world’s leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform, which is becoming an increasingly important marketing tool for Latin artists, who are regularly featured on VEVO’s homepage and multiple platform promotions.
Don Omar is a prime example of success on VEVO, where his hit “Danza Kuduro,” with Lucenzo, has broken the record for the most-watched Latin video in history on Vevo, with over 431 million views.
It’s only one of many Don Omar videos with hundreds of millions of views.
Don Omar, who was featured in a Superstar Q&A Session at last year’s Latin Music Conference, is this year’s leading finalists for the Billboard Latin Music Awards, with a record-setting 18 nods in 16 categories.
The Billboard Latin Music Conference, presented by State Farm in Association with Pepsi, takes place April 22nd to 25th, at the JW Marriott Marquis in Miami, Florida. Don Omar joins a stellar roster of speaking stars that includes Gloria Estefan and Carlos Vives, in addition to executives from top firms and brands, including Deezer, Pandora, Muve, Spotify, Goya Foods, Universal, Sony, Zumba and Telemundo.
