Kobalt Music Group's Label Services division, a full-service alternative to labels for rights-retaining artists, has announced the appointment of two senior-level executives, it was announced today.
Karen Lieberman has transitioned from her former position as VP of global marketing at Sony Music to Kobalt Music Group's VP of digital strategy and marketing. "she’ll be working on ways to drive innovation and maximize opportunities across digital platforms and social media for all Kobalt’s clients,” said KLS managing director Paul Hitchman in a statement.
"As Kobalt continues to grow its client services around the world, Karen's expertise in all areas of social media, analytics and digital marketing is an invaluable asset to our writers, producers and artists,” said Kobalt Music Group president Richard Sanders.
Said Lieberman of the appointment: "I am thrilled to be a part of the team at Kobalt Music, where technology meets music and brings a unique and progressive approach to servicing the needs of clients."
In addition to Lieberman, Kobalt Label Services announced Shari Segalini's move from her current position as VP of field sales at Sony's RED Distribution to the position of SVP of sales.
