Rights and music publishing revenue-collection firm Fintage House is teaming up with technology company Independent IP to build a new, fully automated service for rights holders. The FUGA platform will provide a variety of solutions, including global distribution of master recordings, promotion and revenue collection.
FUGA will give users access to Fintage House's global infrastructure for the collection of their rights. The goal is for rights holders to be able to set up their business through IIP and create fast product release for real-time digital music business management. The platform will be accessible through Web browsers or smartphones to enable real-time business management from any location.
"This partnership will further strengthen our position in the market, supporting our vision for the delivery of accurate data and helping to create a very prosperous business for both of our clients," IIP CEO Martijn Tjho said in a statement.
Fintage and IIP hosted two invitation-only events at MIDEM last month, which featured performances by the Dutch electronic outfit Kraak & Smaak DJ Set, San Francisco-based techno, house and bass DJ/producer Local, hip-hop group Hipnotik Orchestra, American singer/songwriter Truth Hurts and British urban artist KOF.
